What Students Learn in My Beginning Drawing Course

I've spent over 40 years as a professional artist using both digital and traditional methods. I have developed my own drawing course based on the years of experience and the many techniques I have learned from great art instructors. My program is linear and comprehensive. Each lesson building on the last...learning the foundations of art for being a successful artist in any medium.
We focus on Line, Shape, Form, Space, Value, Texture, and Color and my advanced students do more complex projects that include all of these elements to make a successful art piece as well as learning composition, basic perspective drawing and figure drawing/character design.

I start every student off learning the foundations of drawing using pencil so by the time they start drawing in color, they have an easier time achieving a successful drawing!
